April Fool’s Day Book Give-Away

I’m going to give away a copy of There’s No Ham in Hamburgers: Facts and Folklore About My Favorite Foods today. Seriously. This is NO joke. Someone is going to get a free signed book from me and a bookmark. But you’ll have to read all the way to the bottom to find out how to enter.

These are from Ducksters.com

Q: What do you call cheese that isn’t yours?

A: Nacho cheese.

Q: Did you hear the joke about peanut butter?

A: I’m not telling you because you might spread it.

Q: What kind of candy do you eat on the playground?

A: Recess pieces.

And these I made up myself:

Q: What do you call the hot dog that won the 100-meter dash?

A: Fast food.

Q: What did the hamburger name his daughter?

A: Patty.

I’m collecting food jokes for my school presentations. They have to be clean, kid-friendly jokes and they have to be about food. I would prefer the joke to be about the foods mentioned in the book (hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, cookies, ice cream, chocolate, chicken fingers, breakfast cereal, French fries, and potato chips), but I will accept any food jokes as an entry.

All you have to do is type your joke into the comments at the end of this blog.

At nine o’clock tonight (April 1st, 2021), I’ll draw a name randomly from everyone who sent in a joke.

Here’s an egg-celent chance to crack me up and win There’s No Ham in Hamburgers.

Had I seen this on April 1 instead of April 11, I would have submitted a joke! 🙂
